Introduction

In 2012 I started a thematic stamp collection around fairy tales, fables, cartoons, movies, and so on, but it took me nearly seven years to find a good title for this collection. The title it has now is so simple that I actually wonder why I did not find it earlier: (My) Childhood Heroes on Stamps.

This name gives me not only enough freedom to include every stamp I like but also to exclude every stamp I do not like or which shows a fairy tale, fable, cartoon, movie and so on unknown to me. Now however I have the problem that it is quite difficult to find a list of stamps which I should include, as all lists either include stamps I do not want or miss some I desperately need for my collection. Due to that I decided (or actually was forced) to create my own list. To show these final products to any collector out there who might have an interest in the same theme I decided to create this blog to show my collection and keep a list of all issues (currently the sum of collection and missing list, but I plan to put them together in one list soon).

If you know of any other stamps which I might me interested in but which is not listed here or if you can help me with a stamp from my missing list or if you just want to talk about stamps you can contact me: dustinhaus15(at)gmail.com

I also have three other blogs:
My postcard and stamp week
My stamp collection
European History around the World

About this Blog:
This blog is planned to be both my own collection and a catalogue of childhood hero stamps for everyone who is interested in the theme. To make it easy for you to look through the posts they got labels for the year of issue, the country, the depicted hero or story and the form in which I have it in my collection (FDC, Maxicard, ...). If I do not have a complete issue the post gets the label "Incomplete". Also if it interests you with the label "Favourites" you can take a look at my personal favourites.

As I also got some stamps about childhood heroes which I do not want to include in my collection (currently), but which I got anyway, I put them in an "Appendix". Stamps there will only get labels for the form and the depicted hero, but not for the country or the year.

From time to time I might also feature some "News" about upcoming issues or special postmarks.

Last but not least in the pages you can find my missing list and also a list of upcoming issues. There you can also find a small list of "milestone" issues.
